Don't Be Afraid To Sparkle: Incorporating Pattern Into Your Workout Wardrobe

Updated: Mar 18

I am not usually a big fan of patterns when it comes to my wardrobe, but have always found them to be pretty and eye catching on other people. I am not a flashy person and I tend to like neutral tones and more simple and classic looks. My approach to wearing patterns has been to focus on accent pieces that work with a neutral or solid color top or pant.

Lately I have been trying to expand my palette and incorporate some more fun pieces into my workout wardrobe. Finding a good patterned set was on top of my list. I was bound and determined to find something that would fit my style but also be a little step outside my comfort zone.

My answer, was Glyder's Black & Gold Speckle Set. It is a small pattern, splatter to be exact and it is black and gold which is neutral and more within my comfort zone. The interesting thing about this set is that it is not flashy even though it sparkles. Sounds like a contradiction, right? I think it is the ribbed fabric that helps diffuse the flash and the gold is not a shiny gold but more of a satin type finish. It pairs great with a black tank top, t-shirt or sweatshirt and it is figure hugging and super comfortable for yoga, barre or any other type of workout. The added bonus that I have discovered about wearing this set is that it is the perfect camouflage for cellulite!
